ThreshEnv is a M4L device (only works inside Ableton Live) that generates an ADSR control signal. The envelope is then used to modulate parameters in Live. The envelope is triggered from the audio input: if the input level goes above the threshold, the Attack is triggered.

Features:

  • A Meter: That displays the input level and from which the Threshold can be set
  • A Smoothing control: That smoothes the falls of the input
  • Start values, Peak, and End value controls
  • Two modes: Glide Off in which the env always starts for the Start values, and Glide On in which the env will glide from its current position
  • A Release Mode: in which the Release is triggered when the input level goes below the threshold
  • Trigger and Release buttons: that trigger the envelopes Attack and Release; and can to mapped by a midi controller; They also blink when the env is triggered by the input
  • A Global Time control: that speeds up or slows down the envelope
  • 8 Parameters: to which Live controls can be mapped; each with an independent Time Factor and a Delay control
